"STAR Campaign" for
Roma Downey
It is with great pleasure the Official Roma Downey Pages announces the formation of an international Campaign to raise support for a Star for Roma Downey on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in Hollywood, California. This campaign is with the cooperation and endorsement of Roma Downey.
Roma has played a major part in our lives by playing the angel Monica on "Touched by an Angel" she has also touched us in other TV/film projects and stage productions as well as through her spoken word CD "Healing Angel" and her children's book "Love is a Family." She gives her time and support to numerous charities and has touched the lives of many children.
We appreciate all of the fans that have donated so far and we have been able to secure most of the money required.
Roma asks that you instead make donations to her favorite charities.
Note: If something happens that the Star on the Walk of Fame Star does not happen in 2004, or 2005 we will repeat the nomination process again the following year/s (sometimes it takes a few years to be accepted), OR ALL money will be donated to a charity of Roma's choice. WATCH FOR A SILENT AUCTION IN THE NEAR FUTURE and BID!
Roma Downey has donated items for the auctions and fans will be able to donate Roma related items to be auctioned off and the money made from the auction will go to charity.
It will be a closed bid, meaning you bid the highest amount you are willing to pay on the item and no one else knows what your bid is. Whoever has the highest bid , gets the item. If there is a tie, the first one who sent the bid in gets the item. This will be confirmed by email date. There will be a minimum bid set on some of the items. If payment isn't received from the highest bidder, then the item will go to the second highest bidder.
